College Credit Plus

The College Credit Plus (CCP) program provides high school students the opportunity to complete college coursework for high school and/or college credit, broadening the range of choices through which qualified students may complete requirements for high school graduation. This is a “student-driven” program, so students (and parents) are required to complete all necessary paperwork by deadlines specified on the ODE website (link below).

Students can take courses on a college campus or online. They may take the courses at any college/university in Ohio that is participating in the program. If approved for funding, the program will pay the costs for all tuition for courses taken (fees may apply at participating private colleges).

Students interested in participating, must complete the St. John's Jesuit CCP Interest Form by April 1. This form can be found HERE or by obtaining a hard copy of the SJJ Guidelines and Interest Form from Mr. Mussa Orra, SJJ Counselor and CCP Coordinator.

Some other CCP guidelines:

*Students must meet college admission requirements.
*Courses taken at a college or university must fit around the SJJ courses; Courses outside of SJJ school hours are acceptable. Summer sessions are also available (contingent on college/university availability).
*Courses may be taken for college credit only or for both high school and college credit.
*If a student fails or does not complete a class, the student/family will be responsible for all university costs.
*There will be no reduction in the St. John's Jesuit tuition for students participating in this program.
*Each course selected should be approved in advance by Mr. Orra.
*Students will be required to meet all SJJ graduation requirements. .
*Students are allowed to participate in high school clubs and sports while participating in this program.
