New Administrator named at SJJ Academy

Joe Carroll ‘93 has been named as Administrator of St. John’s Jesuit Academy (SJJA) effective July 1. Since 2012, Mr. Carroll has served as Principal of Christ the King Parish School. Prior to CK, Mr. Carroll was a member of the faculty at St. John’s Jesuit Academy when the doors first opened in 2004. In this capacity, he taught social studies, served as the Head Varsity Swim Coach, and served as Dean of Students.

Mr. Carroll obtained a bachelor’s degree in education in 2001 and his master’s degree in educational leadership with an emphasis in Catholic education from the University of Dayton in 2015. In his new role at SJJA, he will oversee the day-to-day operations including but not limited to faith formation, curriculum, teacher oversight, and budget. Mr. Carroll looks forward to returning to his Titan roots and said “My time as a St. John’s Jesuit student, volunteer, teacher, and coach, as well as the Ignatian teachings have shaped me into the person I am today. I am excited to be coming back home and sharing these teachings with the Academy students now and in the future.”

Mr. Carroll and his wife Amy reside in Sylvania with their three children Evan ’21, Aiden ’23, and Lydia. They are members of Saint Joseph Parish in Sylvania.
