The Worldwide Jesuit Network –Opening Doors around the World

Jesuit schools are imbued with a five-century old tradition and philosophy of education by St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus. Jesuit education helps develop each student in an environment that fosters the care and growth of the whole person – cura personalis. The curriculum is designed to challenge the abilities of each student while engaging his interests. St. John’s Jesuit develops young men through his growth in knowledge and in spiritual and moral values that will prepare them for a life of high achievement, community service and personal fulfillment.

More than just St. John’s Jesuit, the Jesuit network has 28 colleges all ranked in the upper segment of each school’s respective classification in U.S. News and World Report. Plus, St. John’s Jesuit is part of a network of 63 high schools in the U.S. and over 185 institutions of higher learning worldwide in 73 countries that all share ideas and programs. Jesuit education is the oldest and largest academic system in the world.

Jesuit School Network Video  The video was initiated by Tim Kesicki, SJ, the president of the Jesuit Conference, and created by a PASE/JSN Board Committee headed by Matt Couture, the PASE for Chicago-Detroit and Wisconsin Provinces; the video was made by Loyola Productions.

Opportunities extend beyond Toledo, as graduates become part of the worldwide Jesuit tradition. This Jesuit network opens doors for alumni wherever they go in education, religion, social and business. This unique network insures that wherever a graduate is – whether it is in his own home town or anywhere in the world – he will meet and work with fellow Jesuit school graduates. All are educated in the tradition of the Jesuit Graduate at Graduation tradition to be Open to Growth, Intellectually Competent, Religious, Loving and Committed to Doing Justice.
